The first Homeschool Hangout was such a success, we are excited to host another one (and beyond)!
Join us at the Antler Lake Community Hall on Friday May 30 @ 1 – 4 pm for more homeschool fun and games!
First: THANK YOU to all who came out for our first Homeschool Hangout at Antler Lake Hall. It was great to meet so many families in the area and have a chance to kick back, have some fun, and share our homeschool tips, tricks, and experiences with each other.
In fact, it was so much fun that we’re happy to announce we will continue to schedule as many homeschool hangouts as the community can handle!
So, what’s next?
We will have a variety of Disc Sports for kids to explore at the upcoming hangout on Friday, May 30.
There will be tutorials on how to pass, catch, and (most importantly) aim! Anyone who’s interested can join in on a game of Ultimate Frisbee, or take a shot at the Disc Golf Basket and see how often you can hit the target!
Discs not your thing? No worries! There are always plenty of other fun things to do at Antler Lake Hall: grab a friend and go explore, or bring a book and enjoy a quiet corner. This is your opportunity to play and learn.
And beyond!
We got some great suggestions from the homeschoolers who attended our last event, including:
- Teen / Tween Movie or Games Night <- if someone would like to host an event like this, please reach out and I can help coordinate the hall!
- Water Fight! <- we’ll pick a HOT day later this summer and have everyone bring out their biggest water guns for an epic water fight
- More Sports Days <- we’ll try to host a variety of sports, if anyone has a particular request or would like to share their favorite sport please let us know
- Group Music <- we have a few instructors interested in hosting group music sessions for all ages and skill levels, contact us if this would be of interest to you
I encourage everyone to keep sending ideas and requests for activities or events. It’s always great to hear from you.
