Calling all Homeschool Families in the Antler Lake, Uncas, and Sherwood Park areas

Join us at the Antler Lake Community Hall on Friday May 2 @ 1 – 4 pm for a fun afternoon with other homeschool families!

This could be the start of a beautiful friendship. Come to this Homeschool Hangout & meet fellow homeschoolers in the neighborhood!

The Antler Lake Community Hall is a great facility for homeschool events, right in our own backyard. Complete with games, play ground, sports field, kitchen and community garden it offers so much potential, but I recently learned that it is being woefully underused.

Let’s change that!

As a homeschool mom myself, I thought we could certainly take advantage of a place like this… after all, who wants to clean their house after having a craft day for a pack of wild homeschool kids??

We are hosting the first Antler Lake Homeschool Hangout on Friday May 2 from 1 – 4 pm, and hope there is interest in making this a regular event!

This first one will be a chance to not only play, explore and make some new friends, but to also put our heads together and think up what sorts of other activities & events we (or others!) might want to organize at Antler Lake throughout the summer. We want everyone to be aware of this fantastic community resource, and try to make the most of what it has to offer.

Let’s take this opportunity!

Right now, homeschoolers in the Antler Lake / Uncas / Sherwood Park area have a unique opportunity to imagine what kinds of programs we’d like to see offered in our community, and come together to make them into a reality!

Please bring any ideas you have for activities that your kids would love to do and try to connect with others who share that interest, or make an offer to share your own talent, hobby or skills with the group, and we will see what magic we can make happen.

… snacks and water are also good things to bring.
