Bike\, photograph or play a round of Disc Golf at Strathcona County Wilderness Center  \nThe Strathcona Wilderness Center is allowing bikes on the trails this season as part of a pilot project! Bring a set of wheels (or comfy walking shoes) and meet up with fellow homeschoolers at the Strathcona Wilderness Center for an adventure around the trails. \nBiking not your thing? There’s plenty more to do! \nIt is a beautiful spot and great place to spot wildlife\, so we will keep our eyes (and ears) peeled to see what interesting things we can find. Budding photographers might want to bring a camera to snap a few pictures. \nOR if your kid likes a challenge\, I will bring some extra discs so kids can also enjoy a round of Disc Golf around the park. Long pants are recommended\, since there are plenty of wild roses along the trail. \nMeet at the Strathcona Wilderness Center\, by the Information Center starting: 1:30 pm \nBring water and snacks!

DESCRIPTION:Azure Music offers band classes & music lessons for homeschool students!\nCheck out the information below about the classes being offered by Azure Music for the Fall 2025 season.\nMore information about classes and registration can be found on their website: https://www.azuremusic.ca/registration \n2025/2026 Season Classes (band/ensemble):\n\nThe 2025/26 season’s music selection theme is: Music of the 70’s!\nBand classes are available to students starting at age 8\, up to adults!\nFind out which Band Program is right for you: https://www.azuremusic.ca/band-classes\n22 classes from October 2025 to March 2026\, times vary depending on Band Program.\nIn-class clinic days will be held on Jan 20 and 21\, 2025. Class times may be altered for instrument groupings.\nThese classes take part in the student showcase concert on March 29\, 2026 at Festival Place in Sherwood Park.\n\nFeelin’ Groovy/Music for Littles – Stony Plain: \n\nGreat for students aged 4-7 with no or some music experience. Feelin’ Groovy: Music for Littles is a class designed for students to learn music fundamentals through a variety of ways including; world drumming (in an auditory\, high energy\, drumming circle style)\, basic keyboard\, reading primary notes and values\, singing\, group composition and music appreciation.\nFall Term: 10 classes running Wednesdays from Oct 1 – Dec 16/25\, 1:15 – 2:00pm\nStony Plain – KaRAR Performing Arts\n\nFun Drum – Sherwood Park: \n\nGreat for ages 4-9\, Fun Drum is a class designed for students wanting to experience music and drumming in an auditory\, high energy\, drumming circle style. This class incorporates world percussion such as djembes and auxiliary percussion to teach rhythms and songs.\nFall Term ONLY: 5 classes running Tuesdays from Oct 7 – Nov 4/25\, 9:45 – 10:30am\nSherwood Park – AJ Ottewell Centre\n\nRegistration for the Fall season is now OPEN until October 1st.
